Poland’s Open’er Festival announces The Cure as first 2026 headliner
The countdown to next summer is on…
Open’er Festival has confirmed that goth-rock titans The Cure will be topping the bill in 2026, taking to the stage in Gydnia, Poland, next July.
The band - fronted by enduring music icon Robert Smith - have released 14 studio albums over their 47 year career, the most recent of which was last year’s long-awaited ‘Songs Of A Lost World’ (which landed at number 11 on DIY’s Albums of the Year 2024 list).
The Cure are the first name of Open’er’s 2026 lineup to be revealed, but if this summer’s edition - which featured FKA twigs, Wolf Alice, Nine Inch Nails and more - was anything to go by, then the rest of next year’s bill is sure to be just as massive.
Open’er Festival 2026 will take place from 1st-4th July in Gydnia, Poland. Early bird tickets will go on sale at midday local time on 8th October; find out more and nab yours here.
