RockNess Festival Cancels 2014 Plans
Organisers cite sporting events as the reason for their year off - they’ll be back in 2015.

RockNess festival will not be taking place in 2014.
The three-day June fest is held by the banks of the Loch Ness, but this year organisers have pulled plans on continuing their residency. They plan to be back in 2015, where they’re planning a ‘bigger and better’ event than ever.
Organisers cited sporting events as the main reason for cancellation. A statement reads: ‘We’d like to thank you for your support over the last 8 years. Due to the addition of a number of events alongside the World Cup and the Commonwealth Games we’ve decided to take a year off. We’re using this break to make the event bigger and better than ever in 2015 so have an amazing summer and see you back at the Loch next year!’
Last year the likes of The Vaccines, Bombay Bicycle Club and Jessie Ware performed at the 35,000 capacity weekender.
