Run the Jewels, Joey Bada$$ and more to press LPs to pink vinyl
They’re participating in annual campaign Ten Bands One Cause, with all proceeds going to cancer support organisation Gilda’s Club NYC.
Run the Jewels, Joey Bada$$, and Chet Faker are among the ten artists taking part in this year’s Ten Bands One Cause. Held annually by RED, the fundraiser presses LPs onto pink vinyl, in a limited run of 500 copies.
The proceeds are going to cancer support organisation Gilda’s Club NYC. The organisation is named in honour of Saturday Night Live comedienne Gilda Radner, who passed away in 1989 from cancer.
Last year the likes of Courtney Barnett and Temples took part in the project, and raised $30,000 for the charity. Now in it’s second year, Run the Jewels, Joey Bada$$, and Chet Faker are taking part, along with Al Green, Between the Buried and Me, Pierce the Veil, Primus, Clutch, Ingrid Michaelson, and Sturgill Simpson.
