Saint Etienne Reveal ‘Answer Song’

Saint Etienne announced plans to release their new album ‘World and Music by Saint Etienne’ earlier this year but now you can hear track ‘Answer Song’ too.

The band will release their first work since 2005’s ‘Tales from Turnpike House’ on the 21st May through Universal Records.

Bob Stanley divulged a few details on the album, saying: ”Words and Music by Saint Etienne’ is an album about “how music affects your life. How it defines the way you see the world as a child, how it can get you through bad times in unexpected ways, and how songs you’ve known all your life can suddenly develop a new attachment, and hurt every time you hear them. More than how it affects and reflects your life though. The album is about believing in music, living your life by its rules”.

The band will also be releasing a DVD of their documentary, ‘What Have You Done Today, Mervyn Day?’, as well as working on another film, entitled ‘LDN’, using archival footage from the British Film Institute.
