Sam Smith set for US chart success with ‘In The Lonely Hour’
Lana Del Rey may beat him to Number 1, but the UK singer is aiming for a high ranking debut next week.
Sam Smith is heading for the upper reaches of the US Billboard 200 next week, with his debut album ‘In The Lonely Hour’.
As reported by Billboard, the UK singer’s debut album - which topped the charts in his home nation on release - is expected to enter the charts with an impressive showing. However, competition from Lana Del Rey may rule at a second Number 1 debut.
Smith has been doing the rounds to promote the album, notably appearing on The Late Show with David Letterman earlier this week. You can check that out below.
The Billboard 200 chart top 10 will be announced on Wednesday, June 25. Check out DIY’s cover feature with Sam Smith here.
