Samantha Cameron’s a fan of Poliça and listens to Radio 6 “all day long”

The First Lady hawks her indie credentials in an entirely coincidental interview that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the forthcoming General Election.

David Cameron’s already credited his wife Sam Cam with introducing him to “a new thing called The War On Drugs,” and their critically acclaimed 2014 album ”Lost In The Dream’. Building on her indie credentials in a new Daily Mail interview, which…err… has absolutely nothing to do timing-wise with the forthcoming General Election, Samantha Cameron revealed that she’s the primary tastemaker in Downing Street. Basically, if it wasn’t for her, Dave would still be listening to ‘Barbarism Begins at Home’ by The Smiths, and failing to see the slight tinge of irony given his government’s love of ‘austerity measures’.

Luckily for Dave, Sam Cam is on hand. “I listen to Radio 4 in the morning and the rest of the day I have 6 Music on,” she revealed, “I love it.” When pressed on her favourite band right now, she named Minneapolis band Poliça, who released their last album ‘Shulamith’ back in 2013. “Sam is no mere armchair listener,” claims The Daily Mail, “but went to one of their gigs in Shoreditch.” Blimey, what an East London cool cat.

David Cameron previously made the music world groan an almighty sigh of embarrassment when he shared his love of London Grammar, as well as revealing that he snuck into a First Aid Kit gig at Shepherd’s Bush. His affection for Mumford & Son’s ‘Babel’, meanwhile, has apparently been “driving Samantha mad”.
