Samantha Urbani shares a video for ‘Hints & Implications’

After returning with ‘Go Deeper’ earlier in the year, former Friends frontwoman Samantha Urbani released her new EP ‘Policies of Power’ earlier this month.

Before it came out though, she unveiled ‘Hints & Implications’, a vintage slice of fused R&B and pop that was pretty much a giant earworm. Speaking of the track Samantha said at the time: “At its core its about the ontology of truth – whether interpersonal communication/”honesty” is even possible, considering the subjectivity of our individual reality-perception, but surface level its really about that breaking point where you stop trying with someone when you can’t even get a motherfuckin text back”.

Now Daniel J. Algarin has come around with a new video for the song, and it’s a flashy, 80s-styled number. In it, Samantha is put in a variety of hay situations where she’s surrounded by flashing lights, explosion, neon-lit highways and at one point she even channels the spirit of late-80s Madonna. Madge would be proud.
