Samantha Urbani shares debut solo track, ‘1 2 3 4’
The Friends member posts her first track online.

Friends founder and leader Samantha Urbani has shared her debut solo track, titled ‘1 2 3 4’.
An upbeat twinkling cut, ‘1 2 3 4’ boasts a sumptuous pop hook with the restless multi-instrument arrangement backing Urbani’s vocals hurt by a painful past relationship.
Urbani posted the track to her Soundcloud page, stating that, “parts were recorded on the MetroNorth train from New Haven to Grand Central, in Dev’s old East Village apartment, in Samantha’s secret hermit home, in Matt’s Bushwick shred palace, and in Sam’s Hollywood dungeon studio.”
Since Friends’ debut album ‘Manifest!’ in 2012, Urbani has been working with Dev Hynes on his Blood Orange project, with Friends seemingly on a current hiatus.
