Savages and Bo Ningen for joint ‘improv’ date

‘Words to the Blind’ will feature “improv, noise and poetry”.

London-based noiseniks Savages and Bo Ningen have been announced for a joint live date in the capital.

‘Words to the Blind’ will feature the bands performing a ‘simultaneous sonic poem’ at east London’s Oval Space, where we’re told to expect “a ferocious battle of improv, noise and poetry”.

The one-off date is set for 19th November, with tickets priced £15.

“A unique experiment inspired by the Dadaist concept of simultaneous poetry – when poems were being recited at the same time in different languages, adding up to a powerful overall effect” is how the Barbican website describes the event.

Savages released Top 20 debut album, ‘Silence Yourself’ last year, while Bo Ningen released third album, ‘III’, earlier this year. Savages’ Jehnny Beth featured on a re-recorded version of Bo Ningen’s ‘Nichijyou’ in 2012.
