Semi Precious shares video for ‘Framing Words’
Taken from his new EP ‘When We Talk,’ the song now has a foam-drenched visual.

South London producer Semi Precious has shared a new video for ‘Framing Words’. It’s taken from his new EP ‘When We Talk,’ - out tomorrow (31st July) via Squareglass/NX Records. You can pre-order the EP on 7” here.
Now, the slinking, cloud-skimming EP track ‘Framing Words’ has a foam-drenched video to match. Over-bubbled bubblebaths coat headless torsos, multiple moons float through the black, and all the while ‘Framing Words’ pulses like lift-jazz that’s been shoved into a DeLorean DMC-12 and whizzed straight into the far-future.
Speaking about the song, Semi Precious says “‘Framing Words’ deals with the unspoken - things we say or indulge in just to make up for a void. It’s on one hand quite a mellow and soothing track, but on the other hand it’s also somewhat troubling. As if there’s a constant underlying layer that never actually surfaces. I feel that the video very much reflects this sense of ambiguity.”
Video artist Assaf Hinden, who worked with Semi Precious on ‘Framing Words” visuals, added, “when I first listened to ‘Framing Words’ I felt that there’s something strangely unresolved about it, and I’ve wanted to create a similar kind of visual experience - to expose the viewer to a partial image that remains quite obscured all throughout the video work. There’s also a sense of “plasticity” or dematerialisation in the way that the elements are being presented, which I think is also evident in the music.”
