Sex Pistols are to re-release their ubiquitous ‘God Save The Queen’ next month.
The re-issue comes thirty-five years and a day after the original release (and, er, five years after its last re-release in 2007).
It comes in addition to the Record Store Day 7’ picture disc of ‘Anarchy In The UK’, and an expanded ‘Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols’ in September.
‘God Save The Queen’ was famously kept off the top of the UK charts in 1977 during the Queen’s Silver Jubilee, by Rod Stewart’s ‘The First Cut Is The Deepest’, despite having sold more copies.
