Shame share new single ‘Concrete’

Ahead of a string of tour dates that includes a headline date at London’s Scala next month, post-punkers Shame have shared a new single.

‘Concrete’ is the track’s name, and according to frontman Charlie Steen is “about someone who’s trapped in a relationship and they’re being pummelled into surrender. It’s not about a physically abusive relationship – more an emotionally and psychologically draining one. The call-and-response vocals is the central figure’s own internal dialogue. They are dealing with two different things that they don’t want to address.”

The band’s UK and Ireland tour calls at:

10 Leeds Lending Room
11 Manchester Soup Kitchen
