Sharon Van Etten is scoring new film ‘Strange Weather’

Sharon Van Etten has written the music score for new film ‘Strange Weather’. Starring Holly Hunter, Carrie Coon, and Kim Coates. the film apparently follows a grieving mother as she travels the deep South of America in search of closure.

The film is directed by Katherine Dieckmann (Motherhood, Diggers) and debuts at next month’s Toronto International Film Festival. It’s Sharon Van Etten’s first experience scoring a film.

In other filmy news, Sharon’s also among the musicians starring in the Twin Peaks reboot, alongside the likes of Trent Reznor, Sky Ferreira, and Michael Cera. Her last release was 2015’s ‘I Don’t Want To Let You Down’ EP.
