Manchester outfit Shinies have announced details of their debut full-length, ‘Nothing Like Something Happens Anywhere’.
Produced by MJ from Hookworms, it’s released 2nd February on Dirty Bingo. The lead track, ‘De C’, is premiering on DIY.
Ric Stringer leads the band through a propulsive, rhythmic new number completely stripped of respite. Tight, nagging guitar lines bark in unison, be it in muted or chaotic form. Talk of “climbing up the walls” links up with an increasing sense of fear and tension, leaking through the cracks to form Shinies’ most thunderous track to date.
