Sigur Rós are on the telly for the next 24 hours!
The “slow tv” live broadcast is built around their new song ‘Oveður’.

Sigur Rós are taking a trip around their native Iceland and broadcasting the whole thing on the telly.
Their journey around ‘Route One’, the circular road that covers the whole of the island, is being broadcast on something called “slow tv” as a live broadcast (on Icelandic tv and YouTube around the world) that is lasting 24 hours.
The soundtrack for the trip is based around their new track ‘Óveður’. Speaking of the experiment, vocalist Jónsi said: “In a day and age of instant gratification and everything moving so fast, we wanted to do the exact opposite. Slow TV is counter-active to the world we live in, in that it happens in real time and real slow.”
Busy boys, the band are set to play a show as part of Bristol’s Summer Series on Thursday (23rd), before headlining Glastonbury’s John Peel Stage the following night.
