Sigur Rós return with new single ‘Blóðberg’
The track marks the Icelandic band’s first new music in seven years.

Sigur Rós have made a surprise return with the release of a brand new single, ‘Blóðberg’. Watch the video, made by ‘Chernobyl’ director Johan Renck, below.
The Icelandic band begin a sold-out tour of Europe and North America on 16th June at the Royal Festival Hall in London, for a show that is part of Christine & the Queens’ Meltdown.
It is Sigur Rós’ first new single in seven years, and it paves the way for their first new album campaign since 2013’s ‘Kveikur’.
It is also the first time the band have released music featuring long-time multi-instrumentalist Kjartan Sveinsson since he left the band in 2012.
‘Blóðberg’ features the London Contemporary Orchestra, as conducted by Robert Ames. They will join Sigur Rós for the Royal Festival Hall show, and on the following European tour dates:
