They’ve also shared a new volume of their endless ambient streaming mixtape ‘Liminal’.
Sigur Rós shared new music last week at an event in LA.
Live streaming the performance on YouTube, the new music played by the band included ambient remixes of previously released music from Tónandi—the audiovisual augmented reality experience they developed with Magic Leap—and other Sigur Rós works-in-progress.
The event was presented by Sigur Rós’ Jónsi and Georg Holm, collaborator Alex Somers, producer Paul Corley, and Sigur Rós touring member Kjartan Holm. Watch the stream of the performance below.
Following the performance, the band also released a new volume of their endless ambient streaming mixtape ‘Liminal’, which they first began releasing back in March.
A few weeks ago Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi also released his new triple solo album ‘Frakkur 2000-2004’.
