Skepta shares first tracks from new album ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’
He’s offered up two new tracks - ‘Bullet From A Gun’ and ‘Greaze Mode ft. Nate Smallz’
Skepta has released two new tracks: ‘Bullet From a Gun’ and ‘Greaze Mode ft. Nate Smallz’.
They are the first to be taken from his highly anticipated album ‘Ignorance is Bliss’, which is set for release on 31st May via Skepta’s Boy Better Know label.
His last album - 2016’s ‘Konnichiwa’ - was certified Gold and saw him win the coveted Hyundai Mercury Music Prize. Of his new album, Skepta has said: “The internet is making everything and everyone politically correct but that takes away the artistry. Ignorance Is Bliss deals with the yin yang of Life. True Skepta, saying it exactly how it is.”
Skepta is performing across Europe this summer, including a headline slot at Field Day, which is a stone’s throw from where he grew up at Manchester’s Meridan Estate. He is also a headliner at the Manchester International Festival alongside Yoko Ono, Idris Elba and Kwame Kwei-Armah.
