As you do Is Skrillex rejoining his old emo band From First To Last?
A new demo suggests the dubstep megastar might be cracking out the hair straighteners again.
You’re a multi-millionaire, platinum-selling DJ, playing packed out shows to billions a night. What next? Well, obviously, you go back and rejoin your relatively little-known teenage emo band.
That’s what Skrillex appears to be up to, anyway. On his Beats 1 show over the weekend, Skrillex - or Sonny Moore, to his mother - played a track which he introduced simply as ‘Bonus Track’. It sounds an awful lot like From First To Last, Sonny’s angsty-as-you-like old band.
The reunion rumour train hit top speed, though, when the usually quiet From First To Last Facebook page went ahead and shared a link to replay the show (below). AP reports that Sonny’s been up for collaboration with his old band for some time too, according to guitarist Matt Good, but his schedule’s never allowed. Oh, and ‘fwiw’, it’s ten years this year since the release of Sonny’s last album with the group, ‘Heroine’.
Listen to ‘Bonus Track’ below, and if that’s not quite enough hairspray-scented nostalgia for you, catch up with the new(ish) My Chemical Romance song while you’re at it.
