Slaves announce tiny Tunbridge Wells gig

Slaves are to play a tiny show in their home town of Tunbridge Wells this week, celebrating five years since the release of debut mini-album, ‘Sugar Coated Bitter Truth’.

The band, who play both Margate’s Dreamland and Truck Festival this weekend (22nd and 21st July respectively), will take to the 250-capacity Tunbridge Wells Forum on Thursday (20th July), to play the release in full.

In a statement, the band’s Laurie Vincent said “It’s been 5 years since we released our first body of music, ‘Sugar Coated Bitter Truth.’ Recorded in the Tunbridge Wells Forum in 2012, it kicked off our career and started us getting played on the radio, leading to our first ever festival slot at Reading and Leeds. To celebrate we return to the scene of the crime for a one off gig!”

Tickets for the show will be available via Dice, with pre-registration ending at midnight tonight (17th July).
