Slaves share new single ‘Cheer Up London’
Turning the capital’s sad faces upside-down, hear the duo’s new track.

Slaves have unveiled ‘Cheer Up London’, the latest track to be lifted from their debut album ‘Are You Satisfied?’
A cackling, tongue-in-cheek bash at the city’s miserable faces, it’s a do-what-it-says-on-the-tin blast of shamelessly forthright punk. Listen below.
Laurie Vincent explained the song’s relevance to the capital by telling Radio 1’s Huw Stephens: “We moved up to London when we were writing to London. Isaac came in after daily transport on the tube and he was joking around… It just sort of stuck.”
Speaking about the full-length ‘Are You Satisfied?’, he said: “The album is directed at the people telling them to get up and do something… There is a track called ‘Do Something.’”
‘Are You Satisfied?’ is released on 1st June.
Slaves play Live At Leeds (1st-4th May), The Great Escape (14th-16th May) and Sound City (22nd-24th May), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
