New album!
Sophie Ellis-Bextor unveils details of eighth album ‘Perimenopop’
The disco-pop queen has also teamed up with MNEK for her latest single, ‘Taste’.

Having spent the last few months teasing a bigger project with recent releases ‘Freedom Of The Night’, ‘Relentless Love’ and ‘Vertigo’, Sophie Ellis-Bextor has now officially revealed that her next studio album - the excellently-named ‘Perimenopop’ - will land on 12th September via Decca.
The follow up to 2023’s ‘HANA’, ‘Perimenopop’ promises to be a joyful celebration of Sophie’s middle age - empowered, exuberant, and fun - and her newest track ‘Taste’ is a case in point. Made in collaboration with MNEK and producer Jon Shave (Charli XCX, Sugababes), it’s what Sophie herself has called “a playful, flirtatious pop song about chemistry”.
Continuing, she explains: “What can really make you want to be around someone is when their taste, what they like in life, is something you become addicted to. You want to experience all delights with them and share it with them as everything they introduce you to feels just right. All your senses feel alive and awake - like the full flavour of life is realised. Chef’s kiss.”

What’s more, Sophie has also announced that she’ll be marking the album’s release in style, with a special launch gig at London’s KOKO on 8th September. Tickets will be available via general sale on 16th May (tomorrow) here.
