Truck Violence, Alix Fernz, Sorry Girls & more play Québec Spring showcases at The Great Escape
M For Montreal will once again be hosting a stage at this year’s edition of the Brighton new music fest.
This month, a slew of brilliant Canadian artists will be descending upon The Great Escape as part of the current Québec Spring showcase tour. Designed to shine a spotlight on the musical talents of the Francophone province - which has been called home by great names such as Kaytranada, Mac DeMarco and tUnE-yArds, to name but a few - this year’s edition of the tour kicked off last month, and is currently making a pitstop at Welsh event FOCUS WALES.
Next week, the tour be hitting the capital for a special show at London’s Old Blue Last, where it’ll be celebrating 20 years of emerging talent staple M For Montreal festival on Monday 12th May. And if that’s not enough, the new music event will then be throwing another party down in Brighton (this time, on Thursday 15th May), when it takes over Patterns Upstairs for what’s set to be an incredible day of music, courtesy of the likes of glitchy art-pop group Alix Fernz, woozy pop duo Sorry Girls, pummelling post-punkers Truck Violence and more.
