Southbank Centre Launches Year-Long Contemporary Classical Music Festival
‘The Rest Is Noise’ to run from Jan to Dec 2013.

The Southbank Centre have announced that they will celebrate contemporary classic music throughout 2013 with a special year-long ‘The Rest Is Noise’ Festival.
The festival, based on Alex Ross’ book of the same name, will take place in London’s famous cultural venue with a scattering of events already announced, including the premiere of Steve Reich’s Radiohead-inspired orchestral piece.
There will also be a celebration of Polish composer Witold Lutosławski and a joint concert by the Russian National and the London Philharmonic Orchestras.
The festival starts 19th January 2013.
