Stockholm fuzz fiends Magic Potion stream debut EP in full
‘Melt’ is coming out on PNKSLM and Beech Coma this June.

Get absorbed in the utterly ridiculous world of Magic Potion. The Stockholm three-piece first emerged with hazy, hook-stuffed single ‘Deep Web’, which then arrived alongside a video that for all intents and purposes looked like it’d seen the very worst of the internet before putting its nightmares to tape.
Turns out they’re just about sane enough to tell the tale. On their debut EP, ‘Melt’, every note is bent slightly out of place, every swarm of synth being diverted towards another pitch. This is a band who like their songs to be slightly unorthodox, but sweet and simple enough to be enrapturing. Opener ‘1995’ is a lovelorn, youthful burst of energy, while the majestic ‘Booored’ is all earnest tones and fuzzy hooks.
‘Melt’ is coming out via the UK’s Beech Coma label on cassette, 1st June, and via Stockholm label PNKSLM over in the band’s home country. A debut LP is set to follow in late 2015.
