Stone Roses rumour mill goes into overdrive, with lemon logo appearing on Manchester streets

The Stone Roses’ famous lemon logo has started appearing in Manchester streets, leading fans to believe a new album or tour announcement is imminent.

Shop windows in Vinyl Revival and Close barber’s are now covered with the logo - no text or further information can be found, but given there are 16 lemons on each poster, there’s an assumption that the band will announce big plans for 2016.

Tim Burgess from The Charlatans and The Courteeners’ Liam Fray have also tweeted about the posters.

DIY has reached out to a Stone Roses representative for comment - we’ll update you when we have more info.

Update: As NME points out, a new touring company has been registered to the names Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary Mounfield and Alan Wren on the UK Gov’s Companies House site.
