Sunless 97 are back with new single ‘Pure4Sure’
Hear the London trio’s first number in over a year.
London trio Sunless 97 - consisting of Alice, Matthew and Ed (from Larrikin Love, all those years back) - have returned with a new single and a new home. ‘Pure4Sure’ is taken from a new release on London station / label Rinse, out 1st December.
Last year, the trio released a ‘Aurora’/‘Aurora II’ 12”, both tracks linking up with a late-night, everything-here-together hedonism, a wide-eyed retreat from reality. That’s being continued on their new single, which mixes murky synth lines with a cutesy lead line giving nods to Ryan Hemsworth, Kero Kero Bonito. “We stay here all night again, until tomorrow comes the same,” sings Alice, a specialist in summing up the never-sleep attitude of Sunless’ ethos.
