Swans to release Oxygen EP featuring four alternate versions

The band also recently confirmed their largest UK headline show yet, for May 2015.

Not content with releasing a new album earlier this year and re-issuing a seminal one next week, Swans have confirmed plans for a new EP, ‘Oxygen’.

Set for release on 24th November, their new extended player is set to feature four new versions of their latest album ‘To Be Kind’ highlight ‘Oxygen’. Fans will be treated to a reworking of the song by Mute founder Daniel Miller, as well as a live performance from Primavera, an early demo as recorded at frontman Michael Gira’s own home and an acoustic reinterpretation.

Their new EP comes ahead of the re-issuing of their 1983 debut album ‘Filth’, which lands on 28th October, and alongside the news that their massive world tour is now underway. Their full touring schedule - which includes a show at London’s Roundhouse on 21st May 2015 - is below.
