Back in October, Tame Impala announced that they’d be releasing a fancy deluxe version of their most recent album ‘Currents’ on 17th November via Fiction – yep, that’s tomorrow!
The deluxe version is set to come on a special limited edition red marbled vinyl, with special alternate artwork and other goodies, including a poster, a zine featuring images and scribbles offering an insight into the making of the album and two remixes on 7” singles. There’ll also be a flexi-disc with a trio of B-sides.
Ahead of its release, Kevin Parker’s lifted the lid on one such B-side! ‘List of People (To Try And Forget About)’ was aired as the World Record on Zane Lowe’s Beats1 radio show, and it follows in a similar vein to the psych-pop of ‘Currents’, with crunching synths, waves of melodic rhythms and a few hazy, fuzzy electronics.
