Tei Shi shares video for ‘Bassically’
Single will be featured on the upcoming EP, ‘Verde’.

Brooklyn-based artist Tei Shi has shared a video for ‘Bassically’ as well as confirming her forthcoming second EP. The track will feature alongside ‘See Me’ on ’Verde’, which is out 14th April via Double Denim Records.
Directed by Nicolas Pesce, the video for ‘Bassically’ stars Valerie Teicher leading a group of soldiers to explore the derelict buildings of New York’s streets. Tei Shi and her band take on a multi-armed monster which emerges from the floor of a room, before dancing with victory as the track plays out. Talking about the video, Teicher explains:
“I wanted the video to look like what the song sounds like - fun and empowering without taking itself too seriously. So we created a fun fictional comic world with a troop of bad ass girls.”
