The 1975 break cover to announce UK headline tour
After seemingly disappearing from all of social media, the band are back with plans for a sixteen-date tour.
It’s been a bit of a confusing week for fans of The 1975. This weekend, the band seemingly disappeared from the internet, taking their social media accounts with them, leaving just a mysterious cartoon strip behind them. Obviously, it sparked quite the array of rumours.
Now, however, the four-piece have broken cover and returned with the news of a brand new UK headline tour to boot. This time, their announcement came via a letter posted on the band’s newly-reinstated Twitter account, which also confirmed that the group are hard at work on their second album. “This is the beginning of a new chapter for The 1975,” they detail. “Our new record signifies the start of a new world for us, a more colourful world & a less colourful world.”
This November, they’ll be heading out on the road, making stops in “venues we have loved and places that we feel intimate enough to do a proper show with people who want to be there or need to be there in extreme cases”.
Their upcoming tour dates are as follows.
