The 1975 share ‘Love It If We Made It’

It’s the second preview of ‘A Brief Enquiry Into Online Relationships’.

The 1975 have returned with the second preview of new album ‘A Brief Enquiry Into Online Relationships’!

New track ‘Love It If We Made It’ has been teased for a few weeks, when a letter with the track’s lyrics found its way to the DIY office amongst other places.

The track’s now out now - premiered by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 - and is a pretty intense cut, with lyrics referencing Kanye, Trump, late rapper Lil Peep and more.

Speaking of the track’s lyrics, the band’s Matty Healy told Lowe: “It’s quite outward, it’s me kind of looking out. It’s an interesting one, because there’s not a lot of context and a lot the things that I say in [the track] are direct quotes from people, or they’re headlines I’ve read.”

‘Love It If We Made It’ follows ‘Give Yourself A Try’ in previewing the band’s third album, which is set to be out before the end of the year. They’re also set to follow it up with ‘Notes On A Conditional Form’, the second album of the ‘Music For Cars’ “era”, due early next year.

We spoke to Matty Healy about the band’s new age in an exclusive interview last month. Read it in full here and listen to ‘Love It If We Made It’ and hear the singer’s interview with Zane Lowe below.
