The Answering Machine Announce Split

The Answering Machine have announced they’re calling it a day.
In a handwritten note (below), the Manchester five-piece say it hasn’t been an easy decision for them, but that they’ve been ‘doing some soul searching’ and have ‘decided to stop making music’ in their current guise.
Whilst there won’t be a ‘farewell tour’ or ‘last ever gig’, the band will be releasing their second album ‘Lifeline’ on 12’ vinyl. The record followed their 2009 debut ‘Another City, Another Sorry’.
