The Arcs share new track ‘Fools Gold’
The song features on the debut release from Danger Mouse’s 30th Century Records.
Danger Mouse’s 30th Century Records gets underway properly on Friday, with its first release a compilation featuring both acts signed to the label - Autolux was revealed as his first signee back in August - and friends.
The 11-track release, simply titled ‘30th Century Records Compilation Volume I’ also features a brand new track from Dan Auerbach’s The Arcs, titled ‘Fools Gold’.
He told Rolling Stone of the song:
“Generally, Fool’s Gold is made of iron or copper pyrites that are often mistaken for gold. It has the same thrilling discovery, the same shiny luster and perceived weight as gold, but it isn’t gold and when all is said and done, it has the same value as a hunk of shit. It’s always been so easy to be a fool. We recorded this song at Easy Eye Sound in the summer of 2015. Honored to have it released on Brian’s new imprint.”
The Arcs released debut album, ‘Yours, Dreamily’, back in September.
The track listing for ‘30th Century Records Compilation Volume I’ is:
Apache Sun - Club Noir
Maybird - Big Sun Explosion
Autolux - Change My Head
Paper Morning - Mad As a Hat
Waterstrider - Soundless Sea
Sam Cohen - Lose Your Illusion
The Arcs - Fools Gold
Nine Pound Shadow - Melody
Bike - Enigma Do Dente Falso
Big Search - Please Do Not Explain
Jock Gang - Tell Me About It
