Neu Pick
The Bay Rays lay heavy foundations on ‘New Home’ single
Garage rockers’ second strike is premiering on DIY as today’s Neu Pick.

Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from The Bay Rays.
Kent three-piece The Bay Rays don’t fuck about. Debut single ‘Four Walls’ was a rollicking racket, taking the sweaty garage-punk ethos of Drenge’s early days and dousing it in darkness. Second time round, with new single ‘New Home’ they’re turning every amp up ten-fold.
Rocketing forward, it’s another cut of basement-bound sticky fuzz, perfectly primed for squeezing mosh-pits and crowd-surfers under low ceilings. Get the first spin of it below.
The Bay Rays release ‘New Home’ through their own label, East Wing Records, on May 27th. if you’re London-based, you can catch them live at The Social this evening. Otherwise, catch them at one of the following:
MAY
10 London, The Social (Huw Stephens Presents)
14 Tunbridge Wells, The Sussex Arms Basement
JUNE
03 Edinburgh, Electric Circus
04 Glasgow, King Tuts
