The BBC Sound Of 2019 Shortlist has been announced!

It’s that time of year again!

The BBC has announced its Sound Of 2019 longlist, showcasing ten rising stars it thinks are set for big things next year.

This year’s list includes current DIY Class Of 2019 stars King Princess and slowthai as well as rappers Octavian and Flohio, Catalan singer Rosalía, BRITs Critics Choice nominee Mahalia, indie band Sea Girls and soulful singer-songwriter Grace Carter. See the whole list in full below.

The annual list is voted for by 136 critics, broadcasters and DJs, including former nominees Ellie Goulding and Stormzy.

This year’s top five will be revealed in January, with one artist announced each day from Monday 7th January. The winner will be revealed on Friday 11th January. Winning last year’s prize was Sigrid; other previous winners include Ray BLK, Years & Years, Haim, Adele and Jessie J.
