Squirrel Flower ushers in fourth album with lead single ‘Reelin’
‘Say a Prayer to the Gods of Getting Going’ will land on 21st August.

Squirrel Flower - aka Chicago’s Ella Williams - has announced details of her fourth full-length, ‘Say a Prayer to the Gods of Getting Going’, and shared its lead single ‘Reelin’.
Due out on 21st August via Polyvinyl Record Co., the LP will act as a follow up to 2023’s ‘Tomorrow’s Fire’, and was born out of Ella’s various experiences while out on the road, exploring both vast North American landscapes and her own identity.
Brought to life with a stellar cast of players including Dave Hartley (The War on Drugs), Seth Kauffman (Angel Olsen), Dimitri Giannopolous (Horse Jumper of Love), Clay Frankel (Twin Peaks) and more - not to mention some of Ella’s own family - this next outing promises to be an 11-track collection of carefully-crafted, evocative vignettes.
Chief of these is ‘Reelin’, a warm, enveloping folk offering that Ella’s described as “my ode to the push and pull of domesticity and unraveling. Leaving and getting reeled back in, over and over and over and over.” Check it out here:
