Phoebe Green details plans for second LP ‘PREMATURE NOSTALGIA’

Aptly titled, it promises to be a document of her “tendency to be extremely sentimental and attach value to every little thing”.

Phoebe Green details plans for second album 'PREMATURE NOSTALGIA'; shares lead single 'There's Always Someone Kicking The Seat'

Phoebe Green is back with the news that she’ll be sharing her sophomore full-length effort, ‘PREMATURE NOSTALGIA’, on 2nd October via The Green Dream Machine / Absolute.

It comes hot on the heels of the Manchester multi-hyphenate’s 2025 EP ‘The Container’, and will be the follow up proper to her 2022 debut album ‘Lucky Me’. Written and produced in collaboration with her sister Lucy Green (aka Elucyve), the record is set to be an experimental, idiosyncratic affair that leans further into warped electronic textures, taking cues from the likes of Jockstrap and Oklou and featuring Picture Parlour’s Katherine Parlour.

Explaining more about its evocative title, Phoebe has noted that “the album mostly explores my tendency to be extremely sentimental and attach value to every little thing - feeling nostalgic before a moment is even over and trying to control the grieving process by going through the motions prematurely in order to prepare myself.”

Ushering in this next chapter is lead single ‘There’s Always Someone Kicking The Seat’ - an “extremely visceral” cut that Phoebe has described as “maybe my only proper break-up song”. Continuing, she shares: “Lucy really beautifully encapsulated the chaotic emotional journey sonically. It felt really fitting for the verses to feel quite matter of fact, recounting events, then melancholic choruses followed by a cathartic outro.”
