The Darkness To Reform, Play Download Festival
Classic rock goofballs come together for festival fun. And a load of money, probably.

The Darkness are to reform.
The Lowestoft rock group, who found success in the mid 2000s with albums ‘Permission To Land’ and ‘One Way Ticket to Hell… And Back’, are to return this summer for an appearance at Download Festival 2011, playing before legendary Sheffield band Def Leppard.
Rumours of a reformation have been rife for weeks, with whispers suggesting the band were working on a brand new album and looking to tour later in 2011.
‘A couple of years ago we heard the rumours that we were coming back and realised individually and collectively that that wasn’t such a bad idea’ said frontman Justin Hawkins of the reunion.
Hawkins left the band in 2006 to pursue other projects, including his band Hot Leg, who are ‘currently on hiatus’.
Def Leppard, Linkin Park and System Of A Down are also set to play this year’s Download Festival, which takes place from Friday 10th June - Sunday 12th June at Donington Park.
Tickets are on sale now - get them here.
Festival special! Featuring Wolf Alice, Kasabian, Lykke Li, Marmozets, Genesis Owusu and more.
