The Dead Weather preview 2015 LP with ‘Buzzkill(er)’ track
Single releases are coming out via Third Man’s Vault subscription series.
This side of 2014’s been defined by a trickling out of new The Dead Weather material. Following up ‘Open Up (That’s Enough)’ and ‘Rough Detective’, Jack White, Alison Mosshart and co. are streaming a spiky new cut, ‘Buzzkill(er)’.
The track’s set to be taken from a forthcoming 2015 LP. For the time being, it’s forming the latest in a series of two-track singles, released via Third Man’s Vault subscription series.
‘Buzzkill(er)’ gets by on buzzsaw guitars, vicious vocal lines from Mosshart that spit and snarl, and some frenzied percussion to add further momentum.
It matches up with ‘It’s Just Too Bad’ for a new single, out 4th November.
Listen to ‘Buzzkill(er)’ below.
