The Flaming Lips share a new video for ‘Almost Home (Blisko Domu)’

After recently being, well, pretty darn good at this year’s Pukkelpop, and teaming up with electronic outfit Vessels on their track ‘Deflect the Light’, The Flaming Lips have returned to their album ‘Oczy Mlody’, which they released at the beginning of the year, for a new video.

So, strap on your seatbelts and get ready for 10 minutes of sheer strangeness – not that we’ve come to expect anything less from The Flaming Lips at this point. Their clip for ‘Almost Home (Blisko Domu)’ is double the length of the song itself, but invites you to go down the rabbit hole and join an eyepatch-wearing Wayne Coyne as he discovers what might be a slightly creepy princess and rides around in a sports car.

That’s before even getting to the actual performance of the track itself. Which happens to be in a room filled with neon jellyfish. Yep, that’s the least strange part about this whole thing, but it’s a strange vortex worth delving into if you’re on your tea break and fancy entering the void.
