The Flaming Lips

are making up for a relative silence before releasing Bella Union’s ‘The Terror’ by announcing two new EPs. One’s a six-track bundling together of original tracks, the other’s a split with tour mates Tame Impala.

‘Peace Sword’ is out on Black Friday, 26th November, with new songs produced by Dave Fridmann. Its songs are completely obsessed and in part devoted to new Hollywood film ‘Ender’s Game’.

Following that, they’ll be touring with Tame Impala and releasing a split-EP to celebrate. A tour-only vinyl will feature The Flaming Lips taking on Tame’s ‘Elephant’ (watch footage of them recording it below) and the latter covering ‘Are You a Hypnotist?’ and ‘Silver Trembling Hands’.
