The Go! Team return with new album‘The Scene Between’

The Go! Team are to return this spring with a new album.

‘The Scene Between’ is set for release on March 24th via Memphis Industries. The first album in more than four years, it’s described as “markedly different from any of their previous releases” with “bandleader Ian Parton going back The Go! Team’s roots by writing, performing and producing all of the songs himself, sans band members.”

A press release describes how, following previous full length ‘Rolling Blackouts’ the group went their separate ways, leaving Parton to go back to basics and produce material in the way he had at the start of the band.

“I wanted to make an album driven by melody and song writing,” he explains, “because catchiness is the hardest thing you can do. Brill Building hooks but permeated with a kind of wobbly VHS feel.”
