The Good, The Bad & The Queen announce new album, ‘Merrie Land’
The record is released next month.
The Good, The Bad & The Queen - the supergroup comprising Damon Albarn, Paul Simonon, Simon Tong and Tony Allen - have announced details of a new album.
The record is the follow-up to the debut that gave the quartet their name, released back in 2007. Titled ‘Merrie Land’, the album will be released on 16th November.
It was produced by legendary knob-twiddler Tony Visconti, and reflects on the UK’s preparations to leave the European Union, among other (undoubtedly bleak) current affairs.
The track listing is:
Merrie Land
Gun to the Head
Nineteen Seventeen
The Great Fire
Lady Boston
Drifters & Trawlers
The Truce of Twilight
Ribbons
The Last Man to Leave
The Poison Tree
Additionally, the band will play a handful of tiny live dates:
DECEMBER
1 Blackpool North Pier
2 Glasgow SWG3
4 London Hackney Arts Centre
5 London Hackney Arts Centre
6 London Hackney Arts Centre
Tickets are on sale from 9am on Friday 26th October.
