The Great Escape 2014: Future Islands, Kelis To Play Day Three
Brighton fest bows out for 2014 with an incredible bill featuring Jungle, MØ and Girl Band.

Brighton’s The Great Escape festivals draws to a close today, and DIY’s getting involved by hosting a stage at Brighton Audio.
Headliners Girl Band (9.45pm) are now-famed for their brooding, chaotic live shows, witnessed most recently at London’s Old Blue Last where a report from the night reads: ’ Hearts beat out of chests, eyes are locked on these apparently polite, quiet looking Irish twenty-somethings. At times it’s like watching James Murphy living out a more extreme version of LCD, a realisation of punk and hardcore that Bowie references wouldn’t do justice.’
Joining Girl Band at Audio, we’ve got Blaenavon (9pm), Satellite Stories (8.15pm), Lovepark (7.30pm) and Powder Blue (6.45pm).
There’s no doubt that organisers have saved the most intense, mind-boggling clash until the very end. Tonight at around the 9/10pm mark, we’ve got Future Islands (Digital), Kelis (Dome), Jungle (The Haunt) and MØ (East Wing) all playing at the same time.
Before Clashageddon, earlier in the day there’s sets from Jaakko Eino Kalevi (1.20pm, Dome Studio Theatre), Blessa (3.20pm, Komedia) and Meanwhile (2.15pm, Bermuda Triangle). Tonight, try and catch Slaves (6.30pm, Coalition), Years & Years (6.30pm, Corn Exchange), White Lung (9pm, Coalition) and All We Are (8.30pm, The Haunt).
