The Hidden Cameras go down to the woods in ‘Feeling Bout You’ video

Their new album ‘Home On Native Land’ is released tomorrow

The Hidden Cameras today release brand new album ‘Home On Native Land.’ It sees Joel Gibb and his “gay church folk” choir singing standards from the great country songbook alongside brand new tracks.

The album features guest spots from Rufus Wainwright, Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy, Feist and Ron Sexsmith, but for the ‘Feeling Bout You’ video, Gibb goes solo for a wander in the woods. He said that ‘Home On Native Land’ would explore the gentle folk sound of the Canadian countryside, and he’s certainly taken that to heart here.

Gibb says: “The video turns the meaning of the song to the self, as I am actually shooting myself with the camera at times, and seeing myself suddenly in a mirror as I wander the wilderness; a critical eye, an understanding eye. The good and bad together. The video is also shot by others which gives it the feeling that I am not alone. I forgot how much I love super 8 and it fits the mood of the song. A soft-rock ballad for 70s AM country radio.”
