The Hives unveil pop-art inspired video for rollicking new single 'Paint A Picture' • News • DIY Magazine

Self-coined International Rock Sensations The Hives are back with another preview of their forthcoming next album ‘The Hives Forever Forever The Hives’, and it’s every bit as brilliantly madcap as you’d expect.

Due out on 29th August via Play It Again Sam, their seventh full-length was introduced back in April with lead single ‘Enough Is Enough’. Now, they’ve followed it up with ‘Paint A Picture’ - another anthemic “fan favourite” track which is, according to the band, about “trying to convince people and yourself that living outside of society is a good idea”.

Plus, ‘Paint A Picture’ has also arrived accompanied by a high-concept, pop art-inspired video directed by Filip Nilsson and Henry Moore Selder (with whom the Hives previously collaborated with on ‘Hate To Say I Told You So’), in which the band are transformed into living, breathing pieces of art.

What’s more, The Hives will also be embarking on what they’re calling a series of “state visits” around Europe and the UK (a tour, to you and me) this Autumn, concluding with a huge arena show in the capital of their native Sweden. Find out where they’re gracing with their presence here:
