The Hives confirm details of seventh LP ‘The Hives Forever Forever The Hives’
The International Rock Sensations have marked the occasion with a new single and UK/EU tour announcement, too.

Beloved rockers The Hives are back with the news that their next LP - modestly titled ‘The Hives Forever Forever The Hives’ - will arrive on 29th August via Play It Again Sam, and have kick-started this next chapter in unsurprisingly massive fashion with new single ‘Enough Is Enough’.
The follow up to 2023’s ‘The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons’, this record will be the band’s seventh full-length release, and boasts production from longtime collaborator Pelle Gunnerfeldt (Viagra Boys, Yung Lean) and Beastie Boys’ Mike D, as well as additional input from Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme.
Offically announcing the news via a live-streamed press conference in Mexico City (of course), The Hives have said:
“This message is to inform you that International Rock Sensation The Hives, the best live band on the planet and still your new favourite band, lauded on all continents for their masterful skill and reckless abandon in the rock music field, have once again, sooner than you expected, created a new body of work the likes of which have never been heard or indeed probably will again.
A new record so full of energy, joy, anger and life that you will be questioning reality as you have known it. They finally did it. Every single song a single, every single single a hit, every hit a direct hit in the face of the man.”
Not much to live up to then, eh? You can check out the storming sucker-punch that is ‘Enough Is Enough’ below.
Plus, The Hives will also be embarking on what they’re calling a series of “state visits” around Europe and the UK (a tour, to you and me) this Autumn, concluding with a sure-to-be-epic arena show in the capital of their native Sweden.
Tickets for the UK shows will go on general sale at 10am BST on Friday 11th April; check out the band’s full slate of live dates below.
