The Horrors Discuss ‘Complete’ Fourth Album

Follow-up to ‘Skying’ is due out through XL later this year.

Last night The Horrors’ Faris Badwan checked in with Zane Lowe to discuss his band’s fourth LP, due for release later this year.

Still staying firmly in check by not confirming too many details, he did declare the album to be ‘complete’, with artwork in its final stage and a release date yet to be announced.

He also quickly discussed plans to take the album on the road by stating: ‘As a band we love touring. We wrote the songs to be played live. We’re gonna be performing as much as we can over the next couple of years.

The band’s recent collaboration with Thurston Moore (at London’s The Forum for The Fly Awards) isn’t set to feature on the new album. Faris says it was a case of: ‘Who’s the coolest person we can get?

He came to our studio and we pretty much just started playing. [Thurston] is similar to us in that he looks at the floor, with monosyllabic grunts.’

Tom Furse from the band also confirmed the album’s completion here.
