The Killers get festive with new Christmas track ‘Dirt Sledding’
Their newest seasonal track also boast a spoken word offering from actor Richard Dreyfuss.
Christmas is almost upon us so, of course, The Killers have offered up another one of their festive treats. Their tenth Christmas single in a row(!) arrives this year in the form of ‘Dirt Sledding’, and doubles as the conclusion to their unofficial ‘Santa Trilogy’.
Following up 2007’s ‘Don’t Shoot Me Santa’ and 2012’s ‘I Feel It In My Bones’’, the band’s latest clip again features the band’s former tour manager Ryan Pardey as the one and only Santa Claus, who - if you’re not familiar with the previous two vids - has a bit of a thing against Brandon Flowers. This time, however, Santa’s joined in the desert by a couple of his seasonal friends - we’re talking a Halloween pumpkin, the tooth fairy, a Thanksgiving turkey and the Easter Bunny - who all bear their own secret.
The track also happens to boast a spoken word segment from actor Richard Dreyfuss, while the video comes directed by Matthew Gray Gubler.
All proceeds from sales of the band’s single will go to the Global Fund to fight AIDS via (RED); you can buy it here.
Watch the clip - and discover if Pardey finally gets his hands on Flowers - below.
